“We are all stuck here together on this planet (for the unforeseeable future), and we might as well get to know each other while we’re here.”
About God on Tap
God on Tap is a place for conversations that happen at the intersection of life and faith. We talk about current topics but from the spiritual side of things, wondering aloud what God is up to in the world, and what it all means.
This quote from Bryan Berghoef's book Pub Theology: Beer, Conversation, and God kind of sums up what we’re going for: “good things happen when we sit down at the same table together and talk honestly about things that matter—and frankly, having a beer doesn’t hurt. We don’t need to agree on whatever it is that we discuss— that isn’t even the point. The point is that we are all stuck here together on this planet (for the unforeseeable future), and we might as well get to know each other while we’re here."
God on Tap is hosted by members and friends of Upper Dublin Lutheran Church in Ambler. We see it as part of a long Lutheran tradition of discussing life and theology around a table with a beer (or your favorite beverage) in your hand. Read more about God on Tap in our Frequently Asked Questions.
